Frequently Asked Questions

How does online counselling work?

Online counselling sessions are held via Zoom. Instead of having to travel to your appointment, we send you a calendar appointment with a unique, secure link for each session, and you simply click on the link to attend from a private space where you feel comfortable. All you need is a computer or device with a camera, microphone and an internet connection.

If you prefer, we also provide telephone counselling sessions.

Why choose online counselling?

Online counselling offers significant benefits in terms of affordability, availability, accessibility and convenience – while still enabling you to build a trusted connection with your therapist.

Will counselling conversations be kept private?

Confidentiality and reliability are essential to building trust during counselling. I am available to discuss with you any questions or concerns you may have about how I work prior to the start of treatment, and at any time during our work together.

I work within the Code of Ethics of The Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation of Australia. At the first session, you will be provided with a written statement of my office policies regarding cancellations, payment arrangements, and confidentiality.

When are sessions available?

Online session duration is 50 minutes. Session times are available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 8.30am and 5.30pm.  Saturday sessions are available for those who work full-time and not able to attend on week days.

Please note – responses to inquiries will be made within Business Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm AUS EST

What does therapy cost?

Fees are $140.00 per session. Time-limited fee reductions may be available for students or persons on fixed incomes.

Please note – our fees are not rebatable under Medicare.

Do I need a medical referral?

A doctor’s referral is not required to use our services.
